Individual Sessions

Individual sessions address treatment goals identified at the start of therapy, and often include areas of concern identified by the individual, taking into consideration information obtained from family members/guardians when applicable.

Sibling sessions provide a safe and creative space to begin to express ideas, thoughts, and feelings in a non-threatening way, and within a safe, supported and structured environment.

Sibling sessions

When appropriate, siblings may participate in sessions together and may engage in creative experiences together, supporting improved communication, collaboration, and expression of thoughts and feelings.  Often, sibling sessions are appropriate when the primary client is ready to introduce his/her sibling into the space to begin to address conflicts and establish a more positive relationship.

Family Sessions

Family sessions can be helpful during times of transition, during periods following loss, or during any period of difficulty that impacts the family dynamic in a significant way.   Family members engage in art making and discussion to support open communication as well as expression of thoughts and feelings that may otherwise not be communicated.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION

Clinical supervision is essential for credentialed professionals as well as for those in the process of obtaining credentials.  Individual supervision for art therapists is available on an individual basis.  I have been supervising clinical professionals with varied levels of experience for over ten years, and have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings, as well as school based programming and after school community programs.
